BOAT SAFETY: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plus U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary present the Iowa Boating Safety Course at the Lake Red Rock Visitor Center from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Boating knowledge, safety requirements and general rules of the road. CANDIDATES' FORUM: League of women Voters/KNIA/KLRS host 7 pm at the Pella Community Center. All the candidates running for contested positions for county supervisor (8), county sheriff (3) and state representive (3) are planning to attend. Each candidate will answer several questions. Citizens may help select the questions to be asked by contacting Dorothy Vande Kieft of Pella LWV at 628-8063 or KNIA/KLRS at 628-9494. There will be opportunity to ask additional questions after the formal part of the forum.The League encourages you to attend to find out where these candidates stand on issues important to Marion County.
