| Iowa Orthopaedic Center Increases Services at Pella Regional
Five additional physicians will be joining Dr. Dan Vande Lune at the Iowa Orthopaedic Center at the Pella Regional Health Center location. These physicians—Dr. Joe Galles, Dr. Ze-Hui Han, Dr. Mark Matthes, Dr. Thaddeus Ray and Dr. Camille Rivera—will allow residents of Pella and surrounding communities increased access to expert orthopaedic care close to home.
Dan Vande Lune, MD, orthopaedic surgeon, is fellowship trained in sports medicine and specializes in sports related injuries, general orthopaedics and joint replacement. He offers advanced treatment for joint replacement, including state-of-the-art procedures utilizing minimally invasive techniques, with less surgical complications and quicker recovery time. Dr. Vande Lune also has a special interest in Sports Medicine. He is at the Pella Regional location on a full-time basis.
Joseph Galles, Jr, MD, orthopaedic surgeon, is fellowship trained in the subspecialty area of the foot and ankle. Dr. Galles does many advanced foot and ankle procedures for injuries and trauma, including ankle arthrodesis, ankle fractures and dislocations and Achilles tendon repair. Dr. Galles is at the Pella Regional location the first and third Monday of the month.
Ze-Hui Han, MD, hand surgeon, is fellowship trained in the subspecialty area of the hand and upper extremity. Dr. Han treats all types of hand and upper extremity musculoskeletal pain, including fractures, carpal and ulnar tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, DeQuervain’s Syndrome and arthritis. He is at the Pella Regional location the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
Mark Matthes, MD, orthopaedic surgeon, is fellowship trained in the subspecialty area of joint replacement. Dr. Matthes specializes in the treatment and management of hip pain as a result of trauma or disease (such as arthritis). He is at the Pella Regional location the second and fourth Friday of the month.
Thaddeus Ray, DO, pain management specialist, is fellowship trained in the subspecialty of pain management. Dr. Ray specializes in the treatment and management of adult patients that have acute and chronic pain from trauma or disease. Dr. Ray provides therapeutic pain management including epidural steroid injections, facet blocks, sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency ablation and implantation of spinal cord stimulators. He is at the Pella Regional location the first and third Wednesday of the month.
Camille Rivera, MD, is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Rivera provides non-operative treatments to patients to resolve chronic pain from disease or trauma including post-operative pain, tendonitis, arthritis, regional pain syndrome and stroke. Her goal is to restore maximum function lost through injury, illness or disabling conditions. She is at the Pella Regional location the second and fourth Monday of the month.
