The stigma surrounding mental illness often prevents people from seeking help or even acknowledging that they need help. And if they do want help, they don’t know where to turn. Mental Health First Aid equips the public to help persons with mental illness connect to care. Mental Health First Aid is a highly interactive, 12-hour program taught over two days to small groups.
This next session on February 21 and 22 and is open to professionals seeking to find more information about how to help people in crisis. It will be held at the DMACC Conference Center, 600 N. 2nd. Ave. W, Newton. The class costs $65. and includes meaterials.
