Families First

Families First of Pella has been serving Pella since 1994. They work with parents to provide a chance for quality family time, including activities like the Father/Daughter Dance, Mother/Son Bowling, Family Open Gym at Central College, and Family Time on the Square on Thursday nights.

Other services include the school parenting handouts for families with kids in K-8, the annual Parent University with a special keynote speaker and small group sessions, the Love and Logic parenting class, and workplace and library resources.

The Love and Logic classes teach parenting skills that cultivate confidence and good decision-making skills in children by offering choices, empathy, and respect while avoiding anger, threats, and warnings. Love and Logic programs and resources include the Parent Education Sessions and the Community Meet & Eat.
