When The City Picks Up Brush…

• Only limbs with the largest end diameter of 3” or less will be taken.
• Bundles would be securely tied with twine or rope (no wire), be less than 40” long and 30” in diameter, and weigh less than 40 pounds.
• Tree branches and limbs must be brought to your regular curbside trash pickup location.
• Sticks and twigs too small to be secured in bundles will be considered baggable yard waste and must be in a City of Pella yard waste bag.
• No boxes, cans, baskets, tubs, or wheelbarrows will be emptied.
• Limbs and branches resulting from trimming done by a commercial tree or lawn care service will not be collected by the city.
• The city will collect the brush bundles meeting the above requirements for free on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Brush bundles that meet the above requirements will be picked up on other Wednesdays if a City authorized stickers is attached.
• Stickers are 60¢ each and may be purchased at City Hall and Public Works.
